Artificial Thatch
does not require any lining. When laid, is totally water proof. Ideally
35 degree pitch is recommended, this is to allow the rain to run off
rapidly, insuring the longevity of the
Artificial Thatch.
The edge of the Artificial
Thatch
can be finished in a variety of ways. It can be cut sharply or partially
trimmed, or left as a fringe effect.
Pavilions can also be enclosed, using louvers, doors or roll down heavy
duty plastic blinds. This makes them very
cozy for winter, therefore making it an extremely functional living
area for 12 months of the year.
DIY tips-
To achieve maximum water proofing results, the strips should be laid at 60mm gaps i.e. overlaid at 60mm. To work out quantity required, measure from fascia to fascia or rafter to rafter (extreme length). Depending on pitch, if it is 35degrees, add 35%. If it is 30 degrees, add 30%. In summary, a 4 x 4 pavilion = 16sqm, plus (assuming 35 degree pitch)-add 5.6 sqm. Total required for this pavilion is 21.6 qm, rounded off to 22 sqm, Good Luck DIY punter.

· Minimum Pitch is 30 degrees
